Houston's newest dance party celebrates its Nigerian community – Chron

Growing up in Houston, Chinedu Ohalete said he remembers attending parties with his family on Bissonnet Street on the southwest side of town. As he recalled the memories, he said he remembered the people, the community, the music, and most importantly, the dancing.

“I met a lot of people at these halls dancing. Lifelong relationships have been made through dance and music at these events,” he said at the Grooves nightclub in Third Ward.
