The impossible task of a South African music book – Vrye Weekblad

The South African book falls into the new “genre” category, where it rubs shoulders with “death metal”, “trip-hop” and “krautrock”. Now I can see trip-hop and krautrock as a genre, but labelling South African music as such is a bit like saying Africa is a country. Also, Lior Phillips was an unknown name to me. I looked her up.
