I have a theory about Sarah Zawedde and why she is such a happy, bubbly soul – she is basically living a dream.
I met her about 15 years ago, and she couldn’t stop talking about music. She was besotted with the very idea of music, and made it obvious she wanted to try it out as a career.
I was admittedly skeptical – I thought the industry would grind her to bits, but she proved me wrong, and is now the proprietor of Zawee Band, one of the city’s most energising acts. The power of the dream – it can be wonderful to witness.
