Khumalo passed away on Tuesday following a short illness.

Her sister Tshepi Rakeepile confirmed her passing on SABC News.

The award-winning muso was known for her 2008 hit song Live my life, Lazaru and Loluthando.

Rakeepeile described Khumalo as go-getter who was not only doing music but other arts.
