Internationally acclaimed musician to perform in Maidenhead – Slough Observer

A clear, cloudless blue sky with no visible objects, reminiscent of serene days over Maidenhead.

Gasper Nali, a Malawian musician, will bring his distinctive sound to Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Sunday, May 29, at 8pm.

Nali plays the babatoni, a three-metre-long, one-string bass guitar, which he made himself.

He combines this with a cow skin kick drum and catchy melodies to create his own unique style of Kwela music.

Nali gained international fame after a video of him playing by the lake shore in Malawi went viral, amassing over 20 million views.
