Mide Phresh, whose real name is Ilupeju Boluwatife Olamide, moved to Bradford to study for a Master’s in Sustainable Development at the University of Bradford. Although he arrived with industry links in Nigeria and early traction in the Afrobeats scene, he says it was Bradford that “sparked something” new in him.
