Eugene Taylor: The Drum Prophet performs at McGregor Hall on Sunday as part of “A Celebration of African Music and Dance.” Some 300 people attended the blues and gospel, jazz and soul concert, billed as “tracing the roots of African music from the continent to where it is today.” Other performers included Evelyn Couch, Stella Jones, The Sassy Seniors, Work in Progress, Heart and Soul and Jimmy and the Sound Barriers.
