Needless to say, 2020 was challenging for everyone. The global music scene was rife with cancelled tours, virtual shows, delayed releases and all-round losses. African artistes were forced to innovate, or face falling into oblivion. In spite of the challenges, artists delivered overarching projects, especially during extended lockdown periods.
