Gambian musician, Suntou Susso, will perform on April 19 at The Welfare Ystradgynlais starting 8pm.
Born into the 700-year-old Griot tradition, Suntou is a talented kora player, a 22-stringed African harp-lute.
Recognised as a master at storytelling through music, much like ancient Welsh bards, Susso artfully weaves his culture’s history and heritage into every note he plays.
There will be a stirring blend of traditional kora melodies intermixed with original compositions that celebrate life and culture.
