Kabelo Mabalane was raised in Johannesburg, where he attended the prestigious St. Stithian’s College in Randburg. It was during his time at St. Stithian’s that he formed lasting friendships with fellow musicians Tokollo Tshabalala and Zwai Bala. These connections would later lead to the formation of TKZee, one of South Africa’s most iconic kwaito groups.

In the mid-1990s, Kabelo, Tokollo, and Zwai combined their talents to form TKZee. Subsequent albums like Phalafala (1997), Shibobo (1998), and Trinity (2001) solidified their status in the industry.​

Solo Career

Kabelo embarked on a solo career in 2000 with the release of Everybody Watching, which included hits like “Pantsula For Life” and “Amasheleni”.
